Dear Evergreen Families,
I hope you are all enjoying this amazing Pacific Northwest summer! As I prepare for the 2026-2027 school year as the new principal at Evergreen, I want to share some important information that will help make your transition back to school a smooth one.
The Evergreen office will officially re-open on Monday, August 24th and will be open from 10:00am to 2:00pm. On September 2, 2026 we will begin our regular office hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Class lists and student schedules will be released in your parent portal at 5:30pm on Thursday, August 27th. Please make sure you have updated your student demographic and emergency information in Powerschool prior to that time so that you will be able to access your student’s class schedule. For help with login information and/or updating your information, please contact our front office at 253.530.1300.
The PSD Website is an excellent resource for information. To access school specific information, select Elementary Schools, and then Evergreen Elementary from the drop-down menu in the upper-right-hand corner of the main page. Our website is intended to familiarize you with our school and provide you with information and updates regarding the school calendar, staff directory, daily schedules, bus routes, lunch menus, newsletters and online food service payments. The Evergreen Supply List can also be found on the website.
I am excited to see you all at our meet the teacher event on Thursday, August 27th from 5:30 to 6:30pm. This time is intended for all kindergarten through 5th grade students and their parents to come and meet their teacher! Please mark your calendars with the other important fall dates listed below.
- August 18,19 Kindergarten Jumpstart
- August 27 Meet the Teacher 5:30 to 6:30pm
- September 2 First day of school grades 1-5
- September 7 No School Labor Day
- September 8 First day of kindergarten & ECEAP
- September 17 First day of TK
- October 5 Picture Day

Peninsula School District will provide all necessary school supplies for students. Please see the list of provided supplies at the link below.
Families are only asked to provide a backpack, lunch box and headphones. Any extra or preferred supplies are welcome, but entirely optional.
