School News
As outlined in our five year strategic plan, the Peninsula School District has committed to creating equitable and inclusive learning environments for every child in our schools. To help us reach this goal, PSD will provide all basic educational school supplies to our K-12 students at no cost to families during the 2023-2024 school year. You can see a full list of school supplies offered at your child’s grade level at our website - https://bit.ly/PSD-School-Supplies.
The Peninsula School District is proud to announce three of its elementary schools have been named 2023 Green Leader Schools by the Washington Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
Swift Water Elementary, Voyager Elementary, and Evergreen Elementary were awarded the honor for each school's work towards creating an environmentally focused school.
Peninsula School District invites everyone in the community to join us in our reading challenge. Our goal is to collectively read 1 million minutes by the last day of school, June 21, 2023.
Peninsula Light Company and PSD have collaborated to launch a ‘minutes read’ collection webpage as part of Peninsula Reads. When you’ve completed your reading activity, simply sign in and record how many minutes you read! Use this tool to log your reading minutes.
You can support our youngest learners by reading in our elementary schools!
Guest readers are invited to share their favorite book or read a book provided to them as part of Peninsula Reads, our community-wide effort to promote literacy development in young children.
Readers are needed now through Friday, Dec. 16, 2022. Sign up here.
